Citron, one of Quarry Lake’s newest spots, opened its doors in early November. Its seasonally changing contemporary American menu with a subtle French twist has made it a popular stop for decadent dinner dishes as well as upscale bar snacks like Black Garlic-Sesame Chicken Wings served with a daikon-mango salad and pepper lime aioli and Baked Maine Lobster “Mac & Cheese” with cold water lobster, cavatappi pasta, four cheese fondue and sherry lobster butter, but as of January 17 Citron will be open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday as well.

From 11 am – 3 pm, Citron’s kitchen will be serving up soups and small plates as well as creative sandwiches like the Creole MuffulettaCrispy Eggplant Panini, Roasted Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich, and Citron Reuben. Salads range from options like the Crispy Buttermilk Chicken salad, with field greens, watercress and baby kale to a delicate Herb-Seared Rare Ahi Tuna Nicose salad, with baby greens, fingerling potatoes, eggs, tomatoes, and tarragon-dijon vinaigrette. Heartier entree options will be on the menu as well.

Guests looking for a sweet treat to eat with lunch can enjoy the restaurant’s lunch dessert menu featuring dishes such as the Petite Chocolate Macadamia Nut bar made with cream cheese mousse, caramelized macadamia nuts, and a double chocolate cookie crust; Madagascar Vanilla Cheesecake, with fresh whipped cream and chocolate ganache; Peanut Butter Pie with organic peanut butter flaketin mousse; and Warm Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Citron is located at Quarry Lake at Greenspring and is open for dinner Tuesday-Sunday starting at 5:00 p.m. Lunch will be available Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Bar snacks are available daily in the Citron bar area only beginning at 4:00 p.m.
